A solid month of activity for all here at ROOMS101 Productions.

George Christopher and Ruth Carraway in ‘Rendlesham’

The assembled FILM CREW for the upcoming horror trilogy (Rendlesham, St.Melvin’s and My 18th Birthday) held the first production meeting earlier this month. The series of films kicks off with the off-beat horror homage to the 1980’s ‘Rendlesham’ as the first film in the anthology cannon to commence filming in August.

Cristiano Dias takes the helm of the crew as Director of Photography and promises us keen authentic visuals of the genre, utilising big screen production value and jaw

dropping visual effects to pay homage to the era.

Directed by Mark Tunstall and guest co-directors.

Grange Hill alumni George Christopher (Ziggy!) and Ruth Carraway (Helen Kelly!)

have joined the cast as two unsuspecting UFO enthusiasts who (Spoiler alert!) meet a grisly end at the hands (claws) of the forest’s resident BEAST! This nod to the classic 70’s/80’s/90’s tv series is in itself a tribute to the 80’s era and is lampooned to great effect in the script (written by Davey Deadwood).

We will update you regularly as filming continues through to April next year.

The movie ‘Unlicensed’ has now completed post production and is set to premiere (and will be a red-carpet event) at the Arts Picturehouse in Cambridge on Friday

12th September:

  • 6-7pm Arrivals and red-carpet photos

  • 7-8.30pm Film

  • 8.30-9pm Q&A

  • 9-10pm Drinks

This will be a ticketed event with tickets being available on the Picturehouse website

‘Unlicensed’ is a ROOMS101 Film in co-production with Mark Hampton and follows the story of Danny Goode (Mark Hampton) as he trains to re-enter the boxing ring after a stint in prison for insider trading. He is aided and abetted by lifelong friend ‘Jon’ (Mark Tunstall). Part buddy story, part redemptive journey, this film promises to pack more than a punch emotionally and we hope you can join us at the Cambridge screening.

The London screening will be at All Is Joy in Soho on Monday 15th

September. which will also have a Q&A and networking drinks. We will share the link as soon as it goes live. There will be a digital release on multiple platforms in November, when we will have a second, major media push.

Information to come on the release of gangster movie (co-produced by ROOMS101) ‘Death Cries Alone’ soon! This film is an artfully crafted, female led revenge thriller written and directed by Sean Staab.

In other news, ROOMS101 Artistic Director and resident actor Mark Tunstall has been busy this month, starring in brand new vertical drama ‘My Ex’s Wild Uncle’ as Fashion Executive ‘George’ in this comedy/romance series available on many platforms worldwide. A record breaking ten commercials booked so far this year and two more this month alone. He also found time to appear in hitman movie ‘Hit’ –released next year (more details to come on release date) and new Netflix docu drama series ‘The Forge of Friendship’ as CS Lewis’ brother ‘Warnie Lewis’.

Please also watch out for him in new Steve Coogan series ‘Alan Partridge…Who Are You?’ in which he plays a cameo role as ‘Marc’!

Mark is currently in rehearsal for new musical ‘Always Young’, which opens Off-Broadway at Theater for the New City in January 2026. In which he plays the lead role of ‘Haywire’. Tickets on sale from October 2025.
