What a month for ROOMS101 Productions.

Stop Gap Mark Tunstall

August flew by with the filming of ‘Stop Gap’ and ‘Popeye 3’. Although Mark Tunstall was only on these projects as an actor, they managed to almost completely fill his month.

‘Stop Gap’ is a political drama about asylum seekers and the surrounding conflicts. More information after post production.

‘Popeye 3’ is a genre-bending horror from the Popeye franchise. The team behind ‘Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey’, have since produced Bambi, Pinocchio and Peter Pan related horror movies and the Popeye trilogy doesn’t disappoint in raising the ante in reimagining these beloved characters in a horror scenario.

Popeye Movie with Mark Tunstall

This coming month of October sees Mark Tunstall appearing in the new Alan Partridge series ‘How Are You?’ As ‘Mark’. He also appears in new bank robbery docu-drama ‘Heist’ as ‘Keith Cheeseman’

‘Rendlesham’ - the first film in the horror anthology produced by ROOMS101 begins filming in October. September saw us visiting the main film locations.

The month of September also saw the UK premiere of ‘Unlicensed’ - the boxing drama that ROOMS101 co-produced with Mark Hampton and starring both Mark Hampton and Mark Tunstall in the roles of ‘Danny’ and ‘Jon’.

The premiere at the Cambridge Arts Picturehouse was a hit and sold out tickets in three days! There was then a further screening in London at All is Joy in Soho. A fantastic venue on Dean Street. The turnout was great!

The film was also shown at The Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds. The three events had a red carpet area and each showing was followed by a Q&A with producers, director and lead cast. We all enjoyed it immensely!

Please see all pictures, trailer and clips of the premiere night on the ‘Unlicensed’ page.

'Unlicensed' has been selected as the film to open The London Independent Film Festival on 3rd October. The festival runs for ten days at The Genesis Cinema (but you can only catch ‘Unlicensed’ on the 3rd Oct!)

There is a Free festival launch party at 7.30pm before the film shows at 9pm.
